Paso Robles Guide – What Not to Miss

So if you've seen my Instagram, you know that I love to go wine tasting. In addition to going to the Santa Ynez Valley I also like to go to Paso Robles which is 3 to 4 hours away from Los Angeles.  When we go to Paso Robles we usually spend 2-3 days, after that my husband and I are over wine tasting.  That's why I also give suggestions on other things to in the area besides wine tasting. So, here is my list of things to do when you're in Paso Robles for 48 to 72 hours: Where to Stay in Paso Robles La Bellasera Hotel Every time we’ve been to Paso Robles we stay at La Bellasera, it's centrally located and has nice amenities.  They call it a "luxury hotel", but I feel that it's a solid 3.5 star hotel.  If you don’t want to venture out for dinner after a long day of wine tasting, the Enoteca Restaurant on site has a great menu. Where to Eat Breakfast Vics Café is our only go to spot for breakfast. We stumbled upon this restaurant on our first morning in Paso, 3 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised by the...Read More

My Current Beauty Favorites

Today I'm sharing some of my favorite beauty products that I currently use all the time and cannot see myself living without anytime soon. I always seem to have conversations with my girlfriends about skin care and products that we're currently loving.  These 3 items recently came up in conversation and I wanted to make sure that you know about them too.   My Beauty Favorites Neocutis Eye Balm-I love this eye cream! I was having trouble with dryness under my eyes leading to some creepiness.  I mentioned it to my dermatologist and she suggested this eye cream and it's what she actually uses too.  A friend who literally looks 15 years younger than she is recently mentioned that she hated the creepiness under her eyes, so I told her about this products and she's a believer now too. Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat- I love simple one coat wonder to strengthen your nails.  Sometimes my nails peel and this is one of the best products I've found to fix the problem.    I like to have my nails done but I hate the time it takes to do your nails yourself or to go get a manicure. With this...Read More

The Best Watermelon Margarita- Because Summer Isn’t Over!

Did you know that today is National Watermelon Day?  I was thinking of all the things I could make, and the Watermelon Margarita kept coming to mind.  I originally posted this recipe in September of 2015, and thought this was the perfect time for some updates.  In the previous post, I never mentioned how to easily get the juice from the watermelon.  I don't have a juicer, so I've had to go through some trial and error to find the best method, you will find the info in the recipe notes below. This along with the raspberry mojito is one of my favorite summer cocktails.   Back in 2015, I saw an article from the New York Times about the fact that we often feel that summer ends on Labor Day, called Why Do We End Summer So Early.   This was the impetus for posting this recipe originally. I lived in New York City for several years and summer always unofficially ended on Labor Day, with all summer activities pretty much closing down.  Everyone came back from their summer hideaways, like The Hamptons or Fire Island, and the city went back into full swing in preparation for Fashion Week. I have...Read More
