I know so many bloggers and friends that were so excited about the Nordstrom anniversary sale last month. Well, I’m that excited about the Sephora Beauty Insider Appreciation Event! I use the twice yearly Sephora sales an an opportunity to get all the things that I need and use every day that rarely, if ever, go on sale. If you are a regular Sephora shopper like me, you definitely don't want to miss this sale. Such a great reason to get excited in my book. Here is the sale breakdown: Rouge Level 20% off August 24th - September 3rd. VIB Level: 15% off August 30th - September 3rd. Insider Level: August 30th - September 3rd. 10% off August 30th - September 3rd. So what are the things that I’m getting? Here’s my list: [show_boutique_widget id="743917"] Happy Shopping!!
Today, I'm talking about how to get the most out of your summer. So I know that technically August is not the last month of summer, the official last day of summer is Saturday, September 22. However, for many summer will end because school starts or the weather changes and starts feeling more like fall. So how can you get the most out of summer during the last unofficial month? I would suggest making a list of the things you may want to do, then weed out any items that you won’t be able to accomplish because of budget, timing, weather, etc and add them to a maybe list. Get your family and friends involved. Everything is always more fun when you get more people involved right? Find out who wants to join you on your adventures. Find out what adventures your friends and family want to do and join them too. Make it a group effort to make the most out of the last month of summer. So, making a list seems so business like. Why would I suggest it? Unless you make it official by making a list, there are so many ways to forget and...Read More
Did you know that July is National Picnic Month? I love a good picnic, so I thought this would be the perfect time to share some of my summer picnic essentials. My first memories of picnics were with my parents in Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco with some fresh sourdough and salami. My idea of a picnic has changed a bit since then, but it’s always about good people, good food and good drinks. I believe you can have a picnic almost anywhere, whether it's on the roof of your home or apartment building or at a local park like the La Brea Tar Pits. I do believe in brining a few of my favorite items to make sure that the experience is perfect though. I love going to Los Cabos. If you’re not familiar with the area, Los Cabos is made up of Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo and the area in between is called the "Tourist Corridor," see the map below for details. I did a blog that was more focused on Cabo San Lucas last year, so this time I wanted to do a blog that focused more on San Jose del Cabo. This was our first time staying in San Jose del Cabo and we decided to checkout all of the current hot spots. We checked out several places, but these are the 5 places and events that made the list. We took a taxi from our hotel in San Jose del Cabo and I joked with my husband that is was "probably located on a dirt road", well 5 seconds later we turned onto a dirt road. I had no idea what to expect, but as soon as...Read More
Today I'm sharing my current hair care favorites, the products that I use daily/weekly. These are the ones I keep buying again and again. Here are my current go-tos: Hair Care Favorites- Shampoo, Conditioner and Treatments Davines Minu Shampoo- This is a moisturizing shampoo, but it won't weight down your hair or leave residue. Matrix Oil Wonders Micro-Oil Conditioner- I use this conditioner daily, it very moisturizing so I only add it to the ends of my hair. Aveda Clove Conditioner- I use this color depositing conditioner on my hair every few days. I find that this conditioner isn't very moisturizing so I use at the same time to the Matrix Oil Wonders Micro-Oil Conditioner. amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo- I don't use dry shampoo very often because I like to wash my hair everyday. On the days that I don't wash my hair, this is great. My hair can get quite oily so this soaks up the oil without leaving a white cast or residue behind and it smells great. Matrix Wonders Indian Amla Oil- I love to use this in the shower while I condition my hair. It just an extra bit of moisture to my hair when...Read More
